Welcome to Blogmas Day 11, I know I have gotten behind, but I have a few projects going on right now, along with working full-time. So it has been a little hard to write everyday. I got my December BoxyCHarm in the mail today. As you may know BoxyCharm is a monthly subscription makeup box. It cost like $21 dollars a month and you get 5 full-sized beauty products. So without further ado here is my review. Now sit back and enjoy Blogmas Day 11.
So the first item I received is a Real Here Blush Kit. In this kit there is 3 decent size pans of blush. There are 3 different natural tones in this kit, 2 shades of pink and 1 shade of brown. All of these blushes are shimmer, which would look great for all your holiday parties this season. These blushes are very smooth and guide on really easily, I really think these colors are great and my style. The blushes are Paraben Free, Certified Cruelty Free, Gluten Free, and have Natural Ingredients. This kit retails for $32.00, which is I think a decent price for 3 shades.
The next item I got in my box is a Beaute Basics Bronze Essentials. There are 3 different shades of bronzer, 2 mattes and 1 shimmer. You can use these bronzers individually or mix them together for a completely different look. The pan has a good-sized mirror so if you are traveling it will work great. After swatching this bronzer, it is very smooth and glides on really smoothly, it almost feels velvety. Again with the shimmer shade in here, if you want glitter for a holiday party then this will work great. With the mattes, you can use this bronzer all year around. This bronzer retails for $39.95, might be a little high for a bronzer but you do get 3 shades and a good sized pan.
I also received Pretty Vulgar, My Lips Are Sealed Lightweight Liquid Lipstick. The shade is a bronzey shimmer color, which is very pretty and great for the holidays. When swatching it I thought it felt very creamy and a little sticky, but I will have to give a try and see how it wears. It also has a doe-foot applicator, which makes for a precise application. This lipstick retails for $24.00 a little on the higher end for liquid lipstick.
I received a mascara from Tarte, called Tarteist Last Paint Mascara. This is a jet blacked, vegan mascara, so if you are wanting to test a new black mascara then this would be a good one. The wand is on the smaller size, which will help get your baby lashes. This says it is a lash paint, which I am not sure if that is different then regular mascara. $23.00 is how much this Tarte mascara retails for, I am going to give it a try.
The last thing I got is a Crown Blush Brush, It has a white handle with black bistles, the hand also has notches in it, I think for a place to fit your fingers. This brush is really soft and synthetic as well as pretty dense, which makes it a great blush brush, you can probably also use it as a bronzer brush as well. Since the brush has synthetic bristles, you can use it for both powders and creams. This brush retail for $12.00, and will be a great addition to my brush collection.
So I really enjoyed this box, there were some great products, some I have heard of before and others I have not. I think there are a few things in here that I wouldn’t normally get, so it will be nice to step out of my comfort zone and give them a try. My BoxyCharm is worth $130.95, which is a great deal as I only paid $21 for it. I so hope you enjoyed Blogmas Day 11, and what I received in this months box. Do you get BoxyCharm? If you do did you get the same items or did you receive different items.
