Now that the weather is turning cooler and the leaves are changing its time to change out wardrobe. There are some great fall trends this year. I am a summer girl, but there are many things I love about fall. The changing leaves are pretty and make great photos and the weather is cooler. Don’t get me wrong I would rather it be warm, but the change is great to. As a shoe lover with fall come boots, I don’t own as many boots as I would like (to expensive). Though I do have enough pairs and variety to get me through winter and fall.
When the seasons change means new trends. As you know I like to see the trends but may not alway follow them. As it just depends on what they are and how the fit into my personal style.
Here are a few of the trends you will see this fall:
Red: this is an interesting one, it’s not just red shirt or pants. No this trend is head to toe red, including red accessories. Now I like red, but I personally think this is to much. I think you can follow this trend kind of. I think wearing cute red pants with a black or white top, and red accessories would look great. Or a red top with black or white jeans, paired with either black or white accessories (depending on the color pants) would look nice. You could even take a red sweater dress paired with black tights and boots. As you can see you can dress this trend many different ways. If you really like red and want to wear it head to toe then great.
Floral Print: I feel like this trend is always in every season. If you are on a budget and can’t run out and buy new clothes, but already have a floral top. Then wear it with a pair of skinnys and boots, to make it more fall. You can also pair it with a plain colored scarf as well. If you want to buy new floral prints weather it be a top or dress. You can choose more fall colors such as burgundy, as opposed to wearing light colors you would see in the spring and summer.
Polka Dots: This is one of my favorites, I love polka dots. Now I don’t like them when they are really tiny and lots of them as it hurts my eyes to look at. Polka dots can be a good way to add a little fun into your fashion. If you don’t want to be bold and have a top that is all polka dot, you can start small. Pair a solid color shirt with a scarf that has polka dots.
Trench Coats: Now with the cooler weather you will need a way to stay warm. Well trench coats are in. You can do the standard long trench or a shorter one. I feel like the trench coat is more of a dressier coat. You can wear it casual to though. I own a shorter version of the trench that I wear for when I want to feel a little more dressier. The trench is a good investment as it really comes in style every year. I have owned mine for a few years now and get good use out of it every year.
Puffer Coat: Again another trend that comes in every year. This year they are going with more bolder colors and bigger puffs. I feel the same as the trench trend that this is a good investment as well. Especially if you live in a colder climate, like I do, then you will be able to get several years use out of it.
Sweaters: This is one that is in every season and one of my favorites. It gets so cold here that you want to be not only warm but comfy to. I like little bit baggy sweaters and pair it with skinny’s or leggings and a cute pair of boots. If you are on a budget sweater can be kind of expensive but worth the investment. Sweaters and sweater dresses are a common staple every fall and winter. Still looking for a sweater dress that I like though.
These are just a few of the trends that are in right now. The biggest thing about fall is staying warm, but looking cute as well. I know that you want to wear layers. Well at least I do as I am always cold. I think there are some great trends that you can wear, stay warm, and look cute at the same time.
I am going to try some of these trends, like the red, maybe not head to toe red, but incorporating some red into my wardrobe. As I already own a trench so I will continue to wear that. I do need a new winter coat, I have had my North Face one for a few years now and ready for a new one. Maybe I will check into the puffer coats and see if I find one that I like and will keep me warm.
Which trends are you excited or wanting to try?
