Motivation…. how to get and stay motivated is such a big question. Being motivated is something I struggle with. I am not sure if it is the lack of motivation or laziness, or a combination of both. I need to find more motivation to get stuff done, like getting healthy, working on my photography business, plus my Dog Boutique Business. After I go to work and spend 8 hours sitting at a desk it’s hard to want to work some more. I also spend some of my nights and weekends taking pictures at sporting events as well. So it make my weeks really busy. So I am going to work really hard at getting better, this is part of my journey that needs a lot of work. so I was researching some tips on how to get more motivated. These are the ones that I have found and that I am going to try and implement into my life.
Setting Goals. I always know what I need to get done. Weather it’s editing pictures or working out, but I don’t really stick to it. So I am going to try and set some goals and try really hard to stick to them. I am going to sit down every Sunday and look at my schedule for the week and see what all I have going on. Then I am going to plan out what to do. I will see which days I have sporting events that will take a lot of my evening. Then on the other days I will set a work out goal and business working goals. This will probably be the biggest tip I will have to do, and will probably be the hardest tip to implement.
Starting Small. This one will help with the setting goals tip. I have all these plans on how I want my life to go and the journey that I want to take and it can get really overwhelming sometimes. If I start small and pick out a few things to change at a time will help my journey go faster. I can’t make huge life changes and expect them to stick. I need to start small and ease into changing my life for the better. Like eating healthier, I know I need to eat more fruits, but I wasn’t quit sure which ones that I liked. So when I was at the store I just picked up a few of several different kinds of fruits to try. So starting small with be a big help to my journey.
Stay More Focused. I am easily distracted. I will be working on a task get bored then start looking at Facebook, Twitter, and other things. Then next thing I know it’s an hour later and I haven’t finished my task. If I would have just stayed focused I could have finished the task in the amount of time that I spent on Social Media. The setting goals and starting small tips I think will help me stay more focused to get things done. So I need to turn social media off and hide my phone and other things that make my distracted.
Stay positive. It’s easy for me to get overwhelmed on that the stuff I need to do and start being negative about the situation. Like keeping a workout schedule, and not seeing results from the working out, and eating healthy. I am definitely one of those people that want to see results right away and not seeing them can get me down. I know my journey to healthiness is a marathon and not a sprint, but it is still hard to keep a positive mindset during the whole process. I have been better at this one I am trying really hard to always keep a positive mindset about all aspect of my life. It has really worked and is helping my stay on task.
These are just a few tips that I am going to try to work into my everyday life. I feel like these tips will be easy to do. I want to start small and ease into my journey to healthiness. I just have to remember this is a marathon not a sprint.
