It’s been awhile since I have had a good shopping day, we’ll this weekend was one of them. We started out doing some Christmas shopping at a holiday boutique show. We didn’t really buy much, but I did buy a grab bag present for out family Christmas party. Des Moines opened a new outlet mall last weekend and we were wanting to check it out. This mall is pretty much all outdoors, so it was kind of chilly shopping, as it is starring to get cold here. Here is our shopping haul, we were able to get some great stuff while taking advantage of some great deals.
The first store we went to was Express Outlet, a lot of the sales they having were tops at 10-20% off. One of the really goods sale were they had their sweaters at 40-50% off. I decided to get 2 baggy V-Neck sweaters at 50% off, these were originally $31.96 and bought them at $15.98. Which is a great deal for not only sweaters but especially Express Sweaters.
I couldn’t decide which color to get so I got both a maroon and a dark blue one, both of these are great fall and winter sweaters. I normally wear a small in tops but I thought the smalls were way to baggy on me so I went an X-Small. They weren’t as baggy on me. These sweaters are 100% cotton, and machine washable. which is very practical, let’s face it, if anything is hand wash I totally stick them in the washer.
The next place we went to, and bought clothes at was a store called VF Outlet. Now we had never heard if this store before so we definitely had to go in and check it out. This store had some really cute stuff at great prices. They had everything from clothes, to toys, and everything in between. I found this really cute top. It’s really hard to describe the material, the shirt is on the thinner side so it’s not a sweater or sweatshirt, but man is it super soft.
The shirt is 60% Cotton, 35% Rayon and 5% Spandex. This shirt is a marbly color, with a tie up front on the top third of the shirt. I loved this shirt so much and it was only 17.99 so I got a navy one and a grey one both in a size small. We also picked up a pair of jeans as well, they were also super cheap at like $7, which is a great price for jeans.
Under Armour Outlet
After VF Outlet, we then made some purchases at the Under Armour outlet. Most of their sales were like up to 30% off top, coats, and such. The sale we took advantage of was the 40% off of their leggings, which is a great deal on Under Armour leggings. I tried on a bunch but settled with only getting 2, a capri one and a pants one. The capris are grey with detailing on the side down at the calf area. The detailing is black with blue oval polka dots. The capris do feel like they are made with thicker material, yes the pass the squat test. The material is 87% Polyester and 13% Elastane.
The pants are plain black with blue stripe down the side of the legs as well as the whole calf. The blue has black oval detailing on it so it makes it look like it’s mesh, but it isn’t. These pants are made out of the same material as the capris (87% Polyester and 13% Elastane), but I feel like these are a little thinner. They did pass the squat test.
I was needing some socks so we picked up a package of no show socks. These are a fun muted colors but still very fall colors. The socks are 97% Polyester and 3% Spandex. The capri leggings were originally $39.99 but I got them for 23.99. The pant leggings we originally $44.99, and I paid $26.99. Now I just grab the package of socks while I was in the checkout line. I didn’t realize they were on sale to, originally for 19.99 and I got them for $14.99.
Overall it was a good day of shopping, we really weren’t planning on getting much, but we able to find a little bit. I feel like when I am just out looking I find a lot of really cute stuff. When I am actually shopping for something that I really need then I can’t find it.
